ION wins two categories at Trading Tech Insight Europe Awards 2023
LONDON – 28 February 2023: ION, a global leader in trading and workflow automation software, high-value analytics and insights, and strategic consulting to financial institutions, central banks, governments, and corporates, won two awards at Trading Tech Insight (TTI) Europe Awards 2023. ION Fidessa won ‘Best Sell-Side Order Management System (OMS)’ and ION-owned LIST’s FastTrade won ‘Best Smart Order Routing (SOR) System’.
The annual TTI Europe Awards recognize excellence in trading solutions, services and consultancy for capital markets, and focus on vendors providing exceptional trading infrastructure, trading technology, and data solutions. To determine the category winners, the TTI Europe Awards program conducts voting online, and combines the results with input from the TTI Advisory board. This year’s TTI Europe Awards were announced during the TradingTech Summit 2023 in London.
The ION Fidessa platform provides everything required for equities trading in a single integrated solution. This includes a range of options for automating equities workflows using pre-configured algorithms, smart order routing, and pairs trading. The platform gives users access to over 100 markets for member trading and 600 brokers for non-member trading, and FIX connectivity to more than 6,500 buy-sides around the world. Recent innovations include Fidessa’s algorithmic wheel capability, which allows users to tailor direct strategy order flow for specific clients. Also Fidessa’s Automation Engine, which allows users to scale their business by building customized workflows quickly and easily.
An OMS and execution management system (EMS) front office platform, FastTrade uses an SOR System, liquidity aggregation capabilities, and a programmable algo engine to deliver the best execution across multiple trading venues and asset classes. The module can be low-touch or high-touch, able to be automatically engaged by the OMS, or manually triggered when executing a care order or incorporated into the child order releases of an execution algorithm. Moreover, the workflow suits different trading and execution models for many asset classes and can be modified for a clients’ proprietary business logic.
An out-of-the-box, comprehensive, fully customizable solution for multi-asset best execution, FastTrade is fully compliant with existing regulations on automated trading (including MiFID II requirements on best execution, transparency, and algorithmic trading). Recent innovations include the extension of FastTrade’s SOR to improve its B2C markets functions.
