Social Media Specialist – 6159

We’re looking for a talented social media specialist to help manage our social media operations. 

You'll work closely with the Head of Social Media and our team of talented content creators to develop campaigns across social media platforms that help us build meaningful, long-term relationships with our client communities.

The social media team is part of Impact, ION's in-house communications and marketing agency. We’re a multidisciplinary team of content, design, digital marketing, events, media, video, and web specialists. Our social media team oversees all social media platforms and tools across the ION Group. Our job is to present ION at its best through effective social media communications. 

As a social media specialist, you’ll manage the correct and timely publishing of content across a range of social media channels for the Group. You’ll be one of our in-house social media experts providing advice, guidance, and support to our teams. 

–Performing social media content management: Fact-checking, proofreading, editing, scheduling, posting, tagging.

–Liaising with internal teams for content creation, copywriting, and asset design.

–Planning and maintaining social media content calendars.

–Social media governance: Access management, password management, best practice.

–Performing social media monitoring and ad hoc community management.

–Ad hoc social media support.

–Producing regular reports using tools such as Hootsuite and Google Analytics.

–Creating analytics dashboards.

–Training our product experts on how to use social media effectively.

–Advocating for social media usage across the business.

–Educating our stakeholders on social media best practices.

–Building best-practice guides and presentations.

4.Supporting operations for the ION Markets blog:

–Managing projects and Jira tickets.

–Helping authors to post on their own social media.

–Scheduling content from our blog on relevant ION social media channels.

–Managing content for the advocacy platform.

–Onboarding users and troubleshooting issues.

–Providing campaign support.

–User education.

● Minimum 3 years' experience in a social media role.

●Experience with social media management platforms (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Khoros).

●Experience with building reports in Google Analytics and Google Data Studio.

●Solid understanding of digital marketing best practices.

●Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

●Strong editorial skills and attention to detail.

●Great communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders from junior to senior levels.

●A team player.

●Excellent time and project management skills.

●Some experience with social listening platforms (Brandwatch).

●Understanding of B2B marketing.

●Understanding of paid social.

●Some knowledge of the fintech industry.
