Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Windows Engineer / Administrator will be added to an existing Global IT team where they will interact with all IT functional areas (e.g., Architecture, Design, Licensing, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, and Application Development)
- The Senior Windows Administrator will work in a dynamic, heterogeneous environment and must have an extensive technical background, including experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, and networking
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Senior Windows Engineer / Administrator, Financial or Trading Experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year university in computer science, information science, or related technical field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge (5+ years) of Windows deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, multi-task, able to work independently, and a team player.
- Must have operations experience in 24/7 environments
- Must be knowledgeable of Windows Servers 2016 – 2022 and Active Directory.
- Experience supporting Citrix is a plus
- Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in On-call for overnights, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
- System configuration experience (PowerShell, Ansible)
- System monitoring experience (SNMP, Nagios, OMD, HPE One View, etc.)
- Familiarity with Ticket systems (Remedy and Jira)
- Have familiarity with basic Linux commands.
- Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) is a plus
- Working knowledge of HPE SAN (Primera) is a plus
- The ideal candidate will have worked within the financial industry with a robust Windows
- implementation and support background.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the US.
