The Role
The ION Analytics Data team serves as content experts on global capital markets within ION Analytics and delivers world class content to our clients. The group is responsible for the collection and validation of vast amounts of market intelligence and data and is therefore instrumental to the organization’s global success.
The role carries a high level of responsibility to foster the knowledge, skills and standards of the regional coverage of ION Analytics related activities within equity capital markets (ECM). The successful candidate should demonstrate a high level of motivation, initiative and resilience when handling multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Analyst, ECM Data, Americas, will be responsible for maintaining a real-time ECM database in a proactive manner, working with the regional manager for optimum market coverage.
The position holder will further need to build relationships with market participants and work closely with other data team members in different locations.
Working together with internal and external stakeholders, you will need to ensure data quality standards, deliver data to clients in a timely manner as well as ensuring we are reconciling our data with market participants themselves.
Ensure data ingestion for your respective regional market is fully covered
Ensure data quality is of the highest standards, regularly assess quality and provide feedback for improvement.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, majored in finance-related fields; new graduate is welcome
Excellent spoken and written English, extra plus if you are a Spanish or Portuguese speaker
Strong work ethic
Keen to learn; be inquisitive
Ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to collaborate with colleagues globally
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive approach to work
Strong interest in financial markets with a focus on ECM
Attention to detail with ability to analyse large data sets

Experience using SQL, Python or other data science tools
Understanding of investment banking and capital markets
