ION Analytics is looking to hire a Restructuring [Data] Analyst for its growing Emerging Markets team out of India - Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing a database covering Emerging Markets (Asia-Pacific, LatAm, and CEEMEA) debt restructurings, producing analytical reports on distressed debt markets, assisting in data quality control procedures, and communicating with market professionals. The candidate will report into the Head of Restructuring Data, based in Europe.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain first-in-class database covering Emerging Markets bankruptcies and restructurings
· Prepare analytical reports on Emerging Markets debt restructurings and distressed debt markets
· Work closely with broader Emerging Markets team—Legal Analysts, Court Reporters, Credit Researchers and Editorial Reporters—to enhance existing coverage of restructuring processes throughout the region
· Develop expertise in data-related issues and/or reports
· Maximize usage of development tools/support to maintain/improve content quality
· Support commercial team with subscriber and product support
. Understand restructuring situations, economic news and legal developments of the region.
. Analyze debt structures and financials
 
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Finance, Economics or Accounting, or Master’s Degree in Data Science or financial / legal fields
· 3-5 years of work experience with at least 2-year experience working with financial markets
. Distressed markets experience, particularly with restructuring and credit analysis is highly desirable
· Experience working on analytical reports/data projects
· Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PPT and other data products
. Any additional language skills is highly beneficial
· Good problem solving and analytics skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as attention to detail
· Willingness to undertake additional projects and responsibilities from time to time
