The Role

We are seeking a Professional services consultant for our commercial ship management solution – Softmar, based out of our London office. Softmar consultants are heavily customer facing and responsible for the deployment process for both new and existing customers (onsite where possible). This includes Implementation Analysis, training, project management, and business development. The role also includes account management activities. The Softmar customer base is a truly global portfolio of ship owners, operators, and trading houses with offices spread across the globe - some travel is to be expected.

Key Responsibilities

The role is heavily customer facing and revenue generating, and includes a combination of professional services, business development, and account management responsibilities.
•Consulting – On-site and off-site presence for new customer implementations and other projects for existing customers. Depending on the project this could be in a project management capacity, leading user trainings or other general consulting engagements required by the customer.
•Account Management – Expectation to maintain and strengthen a good working relationship with several customers. Working closely with them to help find a resolution to any pain points, provide regular status updates, and assist with broader IT strategy and business planning around the use of Softmar. 
•Business Development – Look for and follow-up new opportunities for upselling or adding-on within day-to-day interactions with existing customers. Some involvement with sales to new prospects could also be expected.

Required Skills,Experience and Qualifications

•Excellent interpersonal and both written/verbal communicate skills.
•Strong customer facing/executive presence/influencing capability.
•Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers quickly.
•Desire to work within a team-oriented environment.
•Detail-oriented mindset.

Preferred
•Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
•Basic understanding of databases.
•Understanding of basic accounting.
