PBI Analyst – 989

The Role:
We are seeking a PBI (Power BI) Analyst with 3+ years' experience to assist with the creation and management of reports within our data and analytics team. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will work closely with key stakeholders, including end users and data engineers, to understand business requirements, leverage existing data, and create insightful, user-friendly reports.

Key Responsibilities:
         Work with data engineers to understand the structure of the data lake and how to best utilize it for reporting.
         Create, update, and maintain Power BI reports to meet business requirements.
         Work comfortably with new data, to understand its structure and key features.
         Provide insight into data trends through the creation of visualizations and dashboards.
         Work collaboratively with the data and analytics team to envision and layout the roadmap for reporting.
         Contribute to the strong data culture behind ION Analytics' digital transformation.
         Actively build knowledge in a range of domains:
o   Commercial: Contracts and client relationships
o   Accounting: Financials of ION and External companies
o   Markets: M&A, LCM and ECM Deals
o   Content: Articles and Journalism
o   Product front end: Functionalities and platform offering
o   Product back end: Usage and other archived information

Required skills, experiences, and qualifications
         Strong knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
         Proficiency in SQL and DAX. Some python data engineering is a plus.
         Interest in learning new data visualization tools and techniques outside of PBI.
         Experience of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
         Strong written and verbal communication skills.
         Proactive team player, attention to detail and quality conscious.
         Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations.
         Be a quick learner and demonstrate ability to adapt to change.
