The Role:

The Finance function is the nerve center for ION Group and its subsidiaries and helps provide all aspects of financial direction to support our groups strategic decisions. The principles and smooth running of this function is fundamental to the institution and through rigorous, collaborative and long term thinking. As a key member of the accounting team you will have responsibility for some tasks across the whole Fidessa Group as well as oversight and reporting for a number of entities within the Group. 

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility for lease accounting for the Fidessa Group, ensuring reporting is in line with IFRS 16 requirements
Ownership of month-end Management Accounts for the Americas region of the Fidessa Group Key, tasks include:
   Analysis and reporting of significant monthly Profit & Loss account movements
    Full ownership of balance sheet control and reconciliation.
   Liaising with US tax team to improve the Sales Tax process
Work with with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams to improve the accuracy of cost accounting
 Ensure process & controls documentation is up to date and accurate
Involvement in preparation of financial statements for UK entities and provide audit support to ensure smooth close of year end audit

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Ability to work independently, while also being a team player.
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, while ensuring tasks are completed on time in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders.
ACA/ACCA qualified with relevant PQE
1.1 or 2.1 degree in any field preferred
For this role some previous experience would be beneficial, including; 
Demonstrated experience in implementing or utilizing technology to improve financial reporting processes
Ability to identify areas for possible improvement and project manage change initiatives
Strong technically and fully conversant with IFRS
Experience of working in multinational environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Experience of SAP/BPC and BI and/or experience of NetSuite (used by ION) or similar ERP and/or Power BI
