The Department
The Fixed Income team focuses on working with the Debt Capital Markets team within the Investment Banks in order to provide a competitive benchmark and analytical platform to major investment banks worldwide. The DCM team is responsible for ensuring that all issuances are accurately reflected on the Dealogic platform.
The Position
The Junior Research Associate will utilize appropriate sources for gathering and verifying bonds data.  He/she will be required to input data on DCM transactions and carry out checks to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the data. 
Other responsibilities include:
Assist in analyzing trends in Fixed Income Markets
Monitor news and developments in Capital Markets
Support in regular quarterly preparation of press releases and league tables.
Build and maintain relationships with contacts on the syndicate and origination desks within the Global and Regional investment Banks.
Provide daily support to external and internal parties for various data requests and information updates
The Position Holder
The position holder will demonstrate a strong interest in financial services with an aptitude for research and data gathering.  He/she will have excellent organization skills with the ability to learn quickly.  A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is also essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research & Data Gathering:
  • Utilize bank contacts, regulatory exchanges and other sources to gather and validate data
  • Ensure accurate, timely and complete data on deal coverage
  • Conduct relevant deal data reconciliations with banks and law firms
  • Data Entry:
  • Input deal, company, industry and financial data for DCM transactions
  • Check data and verify data entry work completed by the research team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information
  • Work on historical and current data projects, some of which may be very time sensitive
