The Role:

This is customer facing role for an experienced project manager to join an established Cloud Services team within a major financial technology solutions provider. The right candidate will be a key contact point for the Cloud Services Team engagement with clients, coordinating all aspects of project deliveries from inception to project go live.
 
The ideal candidate must be conversant with project management processes with a good understanding of planning, schedule management, risk and issue management. The Cloud Services infrastructure is hosted by a third party on behalf of the client base and is distributed globally. Managing the cloud service provider to deliver the services as per the SLA is key to ensuring client services can be delivered in line with contractual service level agreements.
 
Experience in dealing with demanding client requirements is essential and the ideal candidate must excel in managing and prioritising time critical issues and tasks while maintaining a calm and collective demeanor in response to internal and external challenges.
 
A key aspect of the role will be the coordination and management of critical customer deliverables with a sense of urgency and responsiveness to meet agreed targets. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
 
Candidates should be familiar with Windows Server, Citrix, Active Directory (AD), Swift, Virtual Cloud environments, networking principles, UNIX/Linux environments. This is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

To coordinate and organise the implementation and delivery of key infrastructure solutions to major corporate clients
Create and contribute appropriate project artefacts that enable common standards such as scoping documents, project plans, milestones, measures, team and stakeholder communication, resource, and time management
Establishing and Maintaining Project Governance alongside colleagues in the Professional Services (PS) team
Ensure adherence to project management and internal reporting standards and best practices
Ensuring compliance to internal Operational controls aligned to SSAE18 standards
Manage risk with well thought out mitigation plans and control mechanisms
Liaising with 3rd party outsource providers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of key infrastructure components
Managing development and test environments to ensure maximum availability for key engineering resources to meet tight project schedules
Have confidence to engage and develop strong relationships with other stakeholder groups including senior executives

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

The candidate requires strong communication and organizational skills as they will liaise directly with clients, internal technology teams and business representatives
The candidate will have an understanding of all aspects of the Project Lifecycle and a proven track record of delivering multi-phase, multi-faceted implementations
Experience in a leadership/management role 
Experience of implementing PMO ‘best practices’ 
Project reporting tools experience 
Pursuit of PMI certification and/or Prince II 
Team management, ideally with involvement in a Project Management role
Previous experience in delivering outsourced solutions
Solid understanding of technology including:
Systems and Storage in a virtual environment
Deployment of Wide Area Communication solutions
Networking & Security technologies
Knowledge of datacenter solutions in an outsourced environment
Client engagement at a project level
Good business understanding of one or more financial markets
Exposure to full project lifecycle (analysis, development, integration, deployment, test and UAT)
Ability to efficiently coordinate several tasks/projects in parallel
Excellent communication skills in a global operating environment
Experience in working in a security-oriented environment is desirable including exposure to any of the following frameworks: SSAE18, ISO 27001, SAS70, COBIT & SOX
