The Role:
We are looking for a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will be responsible for overseeing the security and risk management of our information assets, systems, and services. You will work closely with senior management and business stakeholders to align our security strategy with our business objectives and compliance requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive information security program that meets the highest standards of compliance and best practices.
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of security professionals, whilst maintaining close relations across ION Group’s central Security, Audit & Compliance functions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities that could impact our reputation, operations, or customers.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external parties to raise awareness of security issues and promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Provide guidance and direction on security policies, standards, frameworks, tools, and technologies.
- Evaluate new security solutions and innovations to enhance our security posture and capabilities.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in information security leadership roles in financial services, or other regulated industries.
- A professional certification in information security management (such as CISSP), risk management (such as CRISC), or governance (such as CISA)
- In-depth knowledge of common information security threats, risks, challenges, and best practices in the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to identify complex security issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to build trust and collaboration with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A strategic mindset and business acumen to balance security needs with business goals.
