The Role

XTP is ION’s flagship clearing and settlement solution, supporting the entire post trade processing cycle for cleared derivatives.
Working as part of our London Product Management Team, you will be primarily responsible for capturing software requirements and specifying enhancements for cleared derivatives in the XTP post-trade suite, as part of client engagements and ION’s strategic product roadmap (including regulatory enhancements). 

Key Responsibilities

Work with clients, exchanges and industry bodies to gather and document business requirements
Working within the Product Management team, utilising your industry experience you will assist in the front-to-back integration and functional evolution of ION’s Cleared Derivatives offering (front, middle and back), with focus on XTP’s post-trade suite.
Leading XTP Implementation Analysis engagements, attending client workshops and documenting requirements across the ION solutions in scope
Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements, including testing new functionality
Effectively communicate to all interested parties on new initiatives and updates on existing initiatives and services
Support Account Management team in customer meetings and calls as a subject matter expert
Liaising with the sales team, assisting with demo preparations, pre-sales activities, and attending demos as an industry subject matter expert (SME)
Over time, take ownership of a specific product line or function within the Product Management team

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Degree educated
5+ years working in financial technology, with understanding of global derivatives markets
Knowledge of the exchange traded derivatives clearing and settlement process
Ability to analyze customers' business problems, specifying business requirements and their solution at a functional level
Ability to communicate confidently and concisely (both oral and written) using specialist business acumen
Excellent time management and planning skills
Strong technical awareness

Preferred

Direct knowledge of vendor post-trade platforms (including risk-management) or in-house developed solutions.
Experience of the software development lifecycle, including agile methods, SCRUM, use cases
Experience writing business requirements and product specifications, with a background in Business Analysis or Product Management
