The Role:

At ION, the position of a Business Analyst/Product Manager - Latin American Markets goes well beyond the traditional role of producing specification documents. Rather, we seek to understand the client’s business objectives and to be a consulting partner in crafting business solutions using the Fidessa product suite. The Business Analyst/Product Manager must be comfortable meeting with head traders, senior managers, and technical personnel. The Business Analyst/Product Manager will work as a member of a small team. The successful applicant will exhibit superior ability with respect to intelligence, analytical thought (ability to analyze and logically organize information), communication skills (both written and oral), self-motivation, inquisitiveness, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the regional roadmap for regulatory and strategic initiatives as well as the backlog of client enhancement requests
Specify business requirements and their solutions from a functional rather than technical perspective
Lead new regional initiatives, working closely with ION sales and development teams
Act as an SME (subject matter expert) on Latin American trading, collaborating with stock exchanges, regulators, partner vendors and both existing and prospective clients
Third line of support on production issues

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

3+ years working in Latin American equities and/or derivatives markets as a business analyst or product manager
Deep understanding of Latin American market structure
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: order management, algo trading, smart order routing, arbitrage, APIs, position keeping, trade reporting, regulatory compliance, market data, trade confirmation, lot-distributed allocations
Given the extensive interaction with local exchanges and clients, business-level Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferable.
