The Acuris Group is seeking writers for its breaking news desk .
Part of our Content Management Group within editorial, a Desk Writer – Finance will be responsible for writing and/or editing short-form content ranging from press releases, stock exchange announcements and summaries of third-party reports. This is a fast-paced team, and writers are expected to process large volumes of content in coordination with assignment editors, with work ranging from simple editing of existing announcements to creating short reports based on public information combining context and clarity for readers.
The Acuris Group consists of several different products covering M&A, event-driven equities trading, fixed-income, and more. Our subscribers consist of bankers, traders, lawyers private equity professionals and corporate executives.
Responsibilities for Desk Writer – Finance include:
Editing press releases
Writing short-form new summaries based on breaking news
Tagging content in our Content Management System
Requirements -
Prior financial news experience is mandatory
Successful candidates should be strong writers with at least two years of experience in financial journalism. We are looking for people who are eager to learn new subjects and asset classes, and who enjoy a fast-paced work environment that requires quick comprehension of news and the ability to think and write critically.
