ARI Data Associate – French or German Speaker – 7024

We are looking to hire a French or German Speaker Data Associate, with strong analytical skills and data expertise to join our Data team based in Sofia.

Key Responsibilities

Daily mass media monitoring and processing of news on sanctions, financial crimes, bribery, and corruption related to high-risk individuals and entities 
Daily screening and processing of relevant data published by law enforcement, regulatory enforcement, and financial regulators 
Supporting the team in identifying and developing solutions to optimize and automate data gathering and workflow processes 

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Excellent written and spoken English and French or German (additional languages are a plus)
Knowledge of open-source intelligence gathering (OSINT)
Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills 
Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team across the globe
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), web scraping, and SQL database design are a plus
Strong work ethic and hunger for constant improvement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
Team player who works collaboratively within the business 
Attention to detail with ability to analyse large data sets
Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
Organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills 

Preferred Skills

Understanding of AML/CFT Regulations, FATF Guidelines, PEPs and multilateral and unilateral Sanctions
Work experience in research / compliance / risk management or related fields
Affinity with current affairs, media, politics
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Law, International Relations, or Political Sciences
