Dealreporter, part of Ion Analytics, is seeking a Reporter to cover antitrust and break scoops on merger reviews and the agencies conducting them. The reporter will work with our team headquartered in Washington, DC.
The ideal candidate will have years of experience covering Washington and deals, with a deep bench of sources in the legal community and among the agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice. As part of the Dealreporter team you will work closely with our reporters in both DC and New York, breaking high-impact scoops ahead of the competition.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Breaking scoops on antitrust reviews of mergers ahead of the competition
- Managing a broad range of coverage responsibilities, with a focus on enterprise reporting
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience covering antitrust, with a particular emphasis on the federal agencies and merger review
- Deep sourcing among the antitrust community
- Ability to work independently and prioritize among a range of important situations
