We are hiring an experienced operations manager to join the team working on our highly regarded private equity and venture capital, M&A, Fixed Income and Infrastructure conferences that take place annually across Asia and the US.
The group’s subscription services provide the international financial services industry with up-to-date intelligence on global corporate investment trends. Their events team organise 75 conferences, briefings and webcasts across the world to inform and connect more than 10,000 market participants every year.
This position carries a lot of responsibility from day one; working closely with the in-house event production, marketing, sales and design teams in the preparation of a packed events calendar. We work with clients from all over the world, and run events from Hong Kong to Japan, Singapore to Australia. You will liaise directly with clients in the planning of an event, negotiating and booking venues, managing the virtual platform, budgeting as well as oversee the event on-site, meaning a willingness to travel is essential. The position is ideal if you are looking to develop your career in the conference industry.
Professional and organised, you will have five plus years experience in events management or have an excellent track record in a customer-facing role. The successful candidate will be confident, take responsibility and pride in their work, and maintain a positive attitude when working under pressure. You will be able to take initiative, have a keen eye for detail and work enthusiastically as part of a team. It is a busy and diverse role, meaning you’ll need a passion for events and a desire to learn on the job. An interest in finance will be advantageous.
Candidates should be educated to 2:1 degree level or above and high standards of presentation and communication.
