Anti-slavery and human trafficking statement
ION’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made on behalf of the subsidiaries ION Investment Corporation S.à r.l. (collectively, “ION”). This statement describes the measures ION has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its business operations or supply chains.
ION produces software and provides related, data and connectivity solutions services that enable financial institutions, central banks and corporations to digitize and automate their most business-critical processes. ION helps its customers improve decision-making, increase efficiency, simplify complex processes and empower their people. ION considers that the provision of its software and services presents a low risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.
ION’s supply chain model is relatively simple and includes IT, data hosting and telecommunications infrastructure, software and data service providers, office space leasing to accommodate our people and business operations, facilities and waste management, consulting and advisory services, and travel services. ION considers that these services and facilities in general present a low risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Notwithstanding this low risk profile, ION has taken action to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking occurring in its supply chains or in any part of its business. ION takes a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. ION maintains policies and procedures which mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and in its supply chains. These include anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and anti-bullying policies, and health and safety policies. ION’s company policies explicitly outline how ION respects the dignity and rights of all employees.
ION maintains comprehensive procedures and safeguards to ensure that worker identity or immigration documents are verified in line with applicable law and copies of related documents are only retained by authorised personnel in the company for specific time periods. Original ID documents are not retained by ION.
ION does not hire anyone under the age of 18, regardless of local employment laws. ION engages all employees in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. ION does not use labour brokers in our recruitment process.
ION ensures that all employees are provided with detailed and accurate work agreements before they start working for the company.
All ION employees have the right to terminate their employment contract, for any reason, by providing the notice period as specified in their contract and in accordance with local laws, rules and regulations.
ION’s contract signing policy ensures contractual relationships cannot be entered into without review and authorization by an appropriate senior manager.
ION has a central team that manages the procurement of all significant goods and services. ION conducts an assessment at the point of new supplier approval to determine the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. Our suppliers must undertake to comply with all laws applicable to their provision of goods and services to ION, including laws in respect of modern slavery and human trafficking.
To date, we have not found evidence of practices in our operations or supply chains that would violate modern slavery and human trafficking laws or otherwise contravene ION’s corporate values that support human rights.
This statement has been approved by the board of ION Investment Corporation S.à r.l. on behalf of each of the ION subsidiaries referred to above.
