The Role
We are hiring a conference producer to join the production team working on our highly regarded M&A, Fixed Income, private equity, and Infrastructure conferences that take place annually across EMEA and the US.
The conference producer will be responsible for researching, writing, and producing numerous conferences across the region for the, Mergermarket, Inframation, AVCJ and Debtwire products with special focus on private equity. The individual will also lead the project and work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and internal support teams for each event to ensure all deliverables, deadlines and targets are being met.
The candidate will be able to work well under pressure and have good attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in conference content production with knowledge of the market and industry viewed as favorable but not a necessity. The role does require travel across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Production
- Research and write event programes
- Identify and recruit relevant speakers
- Develop strong industry knowledge on events roster
- Coordinate speakers via email briefings, pre-event calls/meetings
- Work with marketing team on event themes, objectives and develop and write copy for marketing materials where required
- Support sponsorship sales where necessary and identify sponsorship opportunities
- Produce/run the programme on-site/virtually
- Build a network of key industry contacts to support the growth of the ION Analytics Community
- Event Management
- Take the lead role as project manager on assigned events
- Coordinate and run project team meetings
- Develop and write a project brief and timeline
- Work closely with the team in the London office
- Work with other teams across the business
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 4 years’ experience in a conference producer role is required
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Ability to lead and manage a project with numerous stakeholders and deliverables
- Proven time management and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise projects
- Fluency in English, another language is desirable
- Be able to work independently
- Be happy to communicate with colleagues and customers face-to-face, by email and by telephone and project a professional image in all cases
