The Role:
Working as part of the ION EMEA Commodities Account Management team, Senior Account Managers act as the primary point of contact between ION and key clients. Senior Account Managers are responsible for creating new and developing existing relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within a portfolio of Accounts, to generate sales of products and services and to protect existing revenues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to sell products, services and solutions offered by ION to existing accounts
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding annual targets for license and consulting services (between $2M-$4M annually)
- Manage the business relationship between ION and clients to achieve add-on sales and services revenue goals and maintain the clients’ current Annual Contract Value (ACV)
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the sales cycle for a portfolio of existing clients assigned to the Account Manager resulting in closed deals
- Creation of Commercial Proposals and supporting documentation through liaising with other departments such as Professional Services and Corporate Sales
- Ensure client gets optimum value from the product and ensure client satisfaction is achieved
- Responsible for assisting in accuracy of invoicing and debt collection in conjunction with the sales support organization
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Hunter/Farmer mentality – developing existing and cultivating new relationships within the Accounts, identifying and closing opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal and both written/verbal English communication skills
- Strong client facing/executive presence/influencing capability
- Desire to work within a team-oriented environment
- Previous sales, new business development experience within commodities environment
- Experience in strategic selling methodology
- Additional languages (ideally German)
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
