The Role:
XTP is ION’s flagship execution, clearing and settlement solutions, supporting the entire post trade processing cycle. The Cleared Derivatives product management is looking for a Product Manager to join the middle office team based in London. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with clients to add value to all aspects of the trade allocation and clearing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent ION Cleared Derivatives products and services to customers, exchanges, and industry bodies through discussion, documentation, presentations and demonstrations
- Working within the Product Management team, utilizing your industry experience you will assist in the front-to-back integration and functional evolution of ION’s Cleared Derivatives XTP offering with focus on the middle office (allocations and clearing).
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Implementations, Product Managers, Development Managers and Delivery Management) to support delivery of XTP solutions
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear user stories, including testing new functionality
- Review and produce technical documentation
- Support Delivery Management in customer onboarding and system integration
- Support Account Management team in customer meetings and calls as a subject matter expert
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Degree educated
- 10+ years working in the Cleared Derivatives financial technology sector
- High-level knowledge of cleared derivatives front-to-back trade life cycle
- Specific knowledge of cleared derivatives allocations and clearing workflows
- Ability to analyze customers' business problems and specify business requirements
- Experience writing product specifications, with a background in Product Management or Business Analysis
- Excellent reporting, communication and written/oral presentation skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and concisely using specialist business acumen
- Comfort and resilience in multi-tasking
- A self-starter who is an organized, detailed and proactive collaborator
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Strong technical awareness
- Knowledge of vendor-based allocation and clearing solutions (e.g. FIS Clearvision, ION SEALS/XTP Clearing, ATEO Lisa, Fidessa CTAC Allocation module)
- Experience writing product specifications, with a background in Product Management or Business Analysis
