US Tax Manager – 8434

The Role:

The tax team is responsible for all aspects of ION Group’s tax function, from advising management of the tax implication of strategic business decisions to ensuring that compliance deadlines are met around the world. There is an opportunity for an individual to join our tax team to utilize their skills as a Tax Manager to supplement the experience and resources of the existing team. The successful candidate in the role will display strong attention to detail and organizational skills, experience both in tax technical issues and their practical application, and the ability to work proactively to ensure that the group’s tax filings are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in ensuring that the company completes its federal and state tax filings and tax provisions accurately and by the specified delivery dates.
Assist in management of audits by tax authorities, including responding to information requests and presenting detailed support of tax position as filed.
Proactively monitor changing business practices and tax laws to ensure that the company’s tax reporting is properly aligned with its dynamic environment
Assist in various tax projects such as acquisitions, restructurings, and process development throughout the year.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

5+ years of tax experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Public accounting experience or large corporate experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Master's degree in Taxation
CPA
Experience with NetSuite
