Your Role:
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring high operational standards are maintained. The role will involve logging & reporting issues and ensuring that remedial action is taken and documented
• Liaising with external 3rd party suppliers, along with internal technical and application support and development staff, ensuring any problems are resolved
• Monitoring customer managed solutions and infrastructures, central services, networks and applications
• Executing client-specific scheduled tasks, including backups
• Assisting in developing and drafting operational instruction documents
• Developing and maintaining production-oriented scripts

Required Skills, Experience & Qualification:
• Experience in an IT operational support role - desirable
• A good basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012 and Linux OS installation and configuration - essential.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server 2008/2012 essential & OpenVMS & AS400 desirable
• Good System Administration skills in Linux and Windows Server 2008/2012 are essential & in OpenVMS & AS400 are desirable.
• High levels of problem solving
• Customer Service skills
• Proficient with MS Office suite (or Google Drive/Google Docs)
• Knowledge of Nagios desirable
• Strong Linux Scripting skills desirable (Any one of the following scripting languages: Perl, Python, or Shell)
