Softmar Professional Services Analyst – 4613

Overview and guideline for progression 
The role is heavily client facing and revenue generating. Responsibilities will initially consist of deployment assistance of new customers (onsite and remote), Implementation Analysis and project assistance for customers on a global scale. The analyst will be expected to take ownership of some client facing projects almost immediately.

After three months, the responsibilities would expand to be more hands on with the management of several accounts, particularly those customers based in London. This responsibility could also be increased to more clients within Europe. The account management aspect of the role consists of being the main Softmar liaison for a customer. In order to maintain and strengthen a good working relationship you would be expected to assist them work through any pain points, provide regular status updates, and assist with broader IT strategy and business planning around the use of Softmar. An account managerwould also be responsible for upselling of additional modules and user licenses to existing customers.

After six months, the analyst will have the responsibility to lead some client engagements. This involves being able to lead a deployment, user trainings, and various other client projects, for example, data migrations and prospect lead generation campaigns. The analyst is also expected to provide consultancy services on a broader nature to customers.

After 12 months, the analyst will be more deeply involved in managing all aspects of the implementation process. There could also be some opportunity to be increase involvement in the Softmar Sales process. That is working closely with the Softmar CEO who also heads the Sales effort. The responsibilities include lead generation for prospects, prospect relationship ownership and working closely with the ION contract team to sign the prospects.

After 18 months, the analyst would be expected to be able to be able to work on almost any client engagement that may arise. At this point they would also have more engagement with the Product Manager to provide input and feedback to ongoing process of refactoring Softmar

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Account Management – First point of contact for client when they have some request or requirement. This could be an issue, new development, training request, new licenses, etc.
  • Consulting – On-site and off-site presence for new client implementation and other projects for existing clients
  • Support – Customer complaint resolution, particularly around business problems or functional questions (as opposed to technical issues).
  • Sales – Continue to look for, and follow-up new opportunities for upsell or add-on amongst day-to-day client interactions.
