The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join ION as a Senior Technical Consultant. As a Senior Technical consultant, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing the customer requirements while mentoring other team members. You will work with business analysts, clients, and team members to design and implement product extensions, configurations, and interfaces. You will also be responsible for reviewing infrastructure sizing, deploying, testing, tuning, and implementing the system and working in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume hands-on project implementation in all phases of the implementation (design, build, test, deploy) engagement.
- Provide technology advice, design, analysis, custom code development, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting in the discovery workshop, design, configuration, testing, and production support of the ION solution for the client’s business needs
- Participate and support the architectural design decisions regarding interfaces between ION solution and other systems, as well as the technical approach for custom scripts and reports, and gain the client’s confidence in the recommended approach
- Support and adhere to implementation best practices
- Gather and document technical requirements, code specifications and any other deliverables required by the project
- Support client training services in custom development technologies
- Attend Product trainings to gain knowledge of the system’s functionality, architecture, and technical components
- Present the project’s technical solution to client representatives
- Support client training services
- Consult with client’s technology users to determine technical and systems requirements to be addressed by the ION solution
- Follow project delivery methodology standards
- Track deliverables to estimates and deliver on time
- Lead a small to medium scale implementation project
- Follow documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables
- Keep Line Manager and engagement owner(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities
- Participate in Upgrade Implementation Analysis and provide detailed solutioning in the Requirements Traceability Matrix and Technical Upgrade document as well as accurate estimates
- Setup internal ION Product Environments for testing and validation as needed
- Maintain full chargeability on client account(s) as assigned
- Travel to customer site to work on projects as needed
- Must completely overlap EMEA CET hours and some US Eastern time coverage up to 12pm ET.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- IT2 implementation knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of building and maintaining VBScripting, Object Rexx, API integration, IT2 installation and upgrades, IT2 API installation, IT2 Anywhere installation, Power BI reports and Crystal reports.
- Business knowledge of treasury is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related IT field
- 8+ years’ industry experience in Software Design and Development or deployment of enterprise software in client environments
- Minimum 7-years direct experience working with IT2 in designing, coding, configuring, installing, deploying, testing, and debugging reports, plugins, and interfaces in client environments.
- Expertise in at least 3 main areas of the ION Product
- Minimum 5-years working in consulting capacity.
- Strong experience with following programming technologies: VBScripting, API integration
- Strong experience with systems aspect such as installation, upgrades, and health checks
- Experience with business reporting tools such as SAP Crystal Report, Microsoft SRSS, Tableau, Power BI
- Ability to follow system deployment steps and operate independently with little-to-no guidance from lead team members
- Experience writing detailed systems specifications, deployment runbooks, how-to documentation
- Proficiency in Windows or Linux Operating systems, shell commands, and security architecture
- Experience with industry standard performance monitoring tools
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure and AWS)
- Strong SQL scripting skills in Oracle or MSSQL
- Experience with RDBMS such Oracle or MS SQL Server is required
- Experience with Interface implementation following industry standard integration patterns
- Ability to follow design specifications and operate independently with little to no guidance from lead resources
- Experience writing detailed technical specifications
- Experience working with Integrated Development environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
- Experience with source control and continuous integration tools (GIT, TFS, Confluence, Bamboo) and issue tracking systems (Jira, NetSuite) is required
- Experience with office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal / consulting skills with proven experience
- Must be self-motivated, independent, resourceful, and capable to take constructive feedback and strive for continuous improvement
- For on-site consultants, ability to work onsite at client locations as needed
- Ability to work as part of a project team structure
