Product Manager
Your role and responsibilities
• Understand customer and prospect needs through client and project interactions, intracompany feedback, and marketplace research and assessment
• Demonstrate product capabilities to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate and engage with the professional services team to assist with analysis and deployment as needed
• Maintaining the product backlog, defining requirements/epics and collaborating with Development teams to refine user stories and effort estimates
• Defining software release scope, creating functional specifications and use cases, providing continuous feedback to the development team, and reviewing/accepting completed product
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure proper test coverage and a quality product
• Provide documentation content for release notes, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials
• Support RFP process as needed
• Assist in creating content for marketing collateral
• Provide support to ION consultants remotely or on-site if necessary
• Assist technical support on complex issue resolution where subject expertise is needed to understand and reproduce issues, or when product design in question
Required skills, experience, and qualifications
In depth knowledge of:
• Commodities industry and markets
• Front/middle/back-office business processes
• Physical and financial derivative products
• Risk management
• Market standards and regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of CTRM products with a preference for Aspect CTRM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with external and internal customers
• Intrinsic desire to understand the “why” behind each problem
• Proficiency in personal productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or comparable)
