The Role

The Marketing Manager will work closely with business vertical stakeholders to lead and execute marketing strategy for the division. This will include go-to-market product strategy, lead generation and conversion, customer retention and engagement, and brand awareness programs.
Working collaboratively and cross-functionally with a team of marketing specialists and ION’s commercial, editorial, and product stakeholders, you will develop, execute, analyze, and optimize multi-channel marketing strategies that serve the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the business vertical marketing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders to align with wider business objectives.
Define a communications framework and best-practice marketing playbook. This will incorporate product and market knowledge from ION’s commercial and editorial teams.
Communicate the marketing strategy and developments to stakeholders and the ION leadership.
Proactively research best practices, industry trends, and competitor activity to develop marketing programs focused on customer retention and growth.
Collaborate with the wider Impact team to develop engaging, results-driven multi-channel marketing campaigns in line with business goals.
Support business goals with regular marketing campaigns, multi-channel content, events, partnerships, and press and media activity. You will work proactively with ION teams to create a consistent pipeline of marketing activity 3–6 months in advance.
Enhance brand recognition in our key markets using traditional and digital platforms.
Work with the relevant teams to build a marketing infrastructure so that all marketing activity is measured and benchmarked.
Work with senior leaders on defined KPIs, analyze and report on multi-channel campaign performance and metrics, and make recommendations to improve future activity.
Lead and manage a team of Marketing Associates to deliver efficient marketing campaigns at scale.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing Communications or a related field.
10+ years of marketing experience, including a working knowledge of:
Email marketing
Events, both in-person and digital
Content marketing
Lead generation and conversion optimization
Performance analysis, PR, and media relations
Social media and online channels
A proven track record in delivering measurable results from marketing initiatives.
A solid foundational knowledge of marketing principles.
The ability to think critically and independently and adapt to changing goals.
The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Proactive and highly organized, with excellent time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Strong project and people management skills.
Budget management experience.
Highly proficient in written and verbal communication.
Preferred
Experience in Agile Marketing.
