The Role

Debtwire Europe Credit Analyst will provide, income statement, cashflow and balance sheet analysis on companies which generally have debt from USD150m to USD5bn, primarily in industries that are in distress or in transition.  Additionally, the Credit Analyst will provide analysis on trading of securities and macro events that effect the companies we cover.  The analysis will be produced in reports produced for subscribers of Debtwire and other ION customers.  

Key Responsibilities

•Produce Credit Reports that provide financial analysis as well as valuation analysis on distressed and stressed companies.
•Assist in periodic macro reports on bonds and loans and the macroeconomic factors that affect them. 
•Provide capital structure analysis for the Debtwire Court team for companies entering and exiting the reorganization process.
•Interact with subscribers electronically and eventually in person to discuss credit analysis and macro analysis.
•Periodically provide analysis for internal Debtwire and ION projects.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

•1-3 years of financial analysis experience
•A general understanding of debt and equity securities and how news and other information impacts those securities.
•Naturally curious and driven to figure out how to analyze complex situations.
•Possess the tenacity to obtain hard to find information to value a company and its securities. Including making phone calls to track down information.
•Excellent communication, presentation and client facing skills.
