Cloud Architect, ION Corporates – 6932

ION Corporates seeks a Cloud Architect and hands-on developer to help guide and build ION’s next generation Cloud Platform, focusing on design, planning, implementation, operation, and governance of the ION Cloud strategies. A solid understanding of software architecture, prior experience as software developer, and experience working with diverse development teams is a requirement.

Success includes uniting the global ION community around this new strategy, moving ION standard solutions to a SaaS model, and building out best-of-breed solutions, at the pace of business and pace of technology, with an “automation first” approach.

•Create a state-of-the-art and secure cloud architecture and strategy, supported by a robust and flexible infrastructure with a reliable and efficient operating model, with automation.

•Designing and implementing deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management processes within the cloud strategy.

•Support the Development teams in creating new cloud native applications, while reviewing existing applications, preparing them to support the cloud architecture strategy.

•Regularly evaluate the best cloud applications, hardware, and practices to keep the ION Cloud up-to-date.

•Engage with Product Development teams to ensure cloud native architecture becomes part of the standard design principles followed, supporting continuous integration and delivery models.

•Understanding of cloud cost structures and align product management and development around profitable solutions.

•Maintain strong and continuous engagement with security experts internally and externally to ensure the ION Cloud architecture and operating model is up to the top security standards.

•Work with stakeholders and C-level executives to agree on strategies to meet customer’s needs and to implement the cloud strategies accordingly.

•Demonstrable hands-on knowledge and experience in AWS and/or Azure, with at least 3 years specific experience. Experience deploying infrastructure using “Infrastructure As Code” tooling.

•Knowledge of Microservices and cloud native architectures supporting the highest security standards. Experience designing and building containerization solutions (infrastructure, pipelines, automation) using Docker, ECS, ECS Fargate and/or Kubernetes.

•Understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies, including AWS security controls, network boundary controls and related toolsets.

•Experience working with diverse, remote, and distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.

•Security awareness and research: understand the importance of security best practices and know how to establish a robust set of defenses in line with the company requirements.

•Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications, tenant-onboarding, and isolation models.
